Olivia Elia
Hands-on Artist
Recent UCLA graduate with a hands-on philosophy that is applied to photography, woodworking, teaching, and life.
"I have gone through many phases of photography: from surrealism, to portraits, to landscapes, to my current obsession, documentary photography. I carry my Pentax film camera with me everywhere so that I’m ready when a moment worth capturing occurs. It could be anything from the casting of a rod over a river to my friends playing cards. Photography is about capturing the feeling around you. I want the viewers to feel like they know my subjects without ever meeting them. I love the process of film. I think it adds to the authenticity of the moment." - Olivia
